When children in the refugee camps along the border of Dafur and Chad were given crayons and paper, they drew remarkable scenes from their unique perspectives of the genocide in Darfur and how it affected them. Moved by the drawings, which he found published in a local newspaper, Kevin started sculpting the Janjaweed installation. It represents a three-dimensional take on a drawing by a child named Doa, from Sudan.
